Volleyball Recap: Campbell Triumphs

Campbell posted their closest victory since September 10, 2024 on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Las Vegas Wildcats, sneaking past 2-1.

Despite the defeat, Las Vegas had strong showings from Veanka Escobedo, who had ten digs, and Aaliyah Jones, who had eight kills and six digs. Jones has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 14 times she's played.

Campbell's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Las Vegas, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-7.

Coming up, Campbell will head out to take on Nanakuli at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The match will give the Sabers their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Las Vegas, they have already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Silverado on the 30th.
