Volleyball Recap: Marion County Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Marion County barely beat Nelson County the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Knights blew past the Cardinals 3-0 on Monday. The win was familiar territory for the Knights, who have now won four games in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-11, 25-15.

Ella Marrett paced Marion County's offense, picking up ten kills. Marrett got some help from Lexi Hall and her 17 assists. Mckenna Thomas controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Marion County's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Nelson County, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marion County will venture away from home to take on Washington County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Nelson County, they will head out to square off against Bethlehem at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
