Softball Game Preview: Moorefield Yellow Jackets vs. Keyser Golden Tornado

Moorefield is 2-7 against Keyser since May of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Yellow Jackets will host the Golden Tornado at 4:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Moorefield saw some tournament action on Friday. Everything went their way against Greenbrier West as they made off with a 9-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Yellow Jackets.

Meanwhile, Keyser won against Mountain Ridge on Monday with nine runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Golden Tornado beat Moorefield by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 9-1. The victory continues a trend for the Golden Tornado in their matchups with the Yellow Jackets: they've now won seven in a row.

Bibs Felton was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. Brianna O'Reilly was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run and four RBI.

Keyser hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive games.

Keyser's win bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Moorefield, the victory was their first at home, bumping their record up to 6-8.
