Desert Christian waltzed into their contest on Monday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They came out on top against the St. Monica Academy Crusaders by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 on September 2nd.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 23-25, 25-16, 25-16.

Desert Christian had a senior duo take command as Danna Guardado had 12 digs and four aces and Sadie Guardado had 30 assists and five digs. Those 30 assists set a new season-high mark for Sadie.

Desert Christian's victory bumped their record up to 16-5-1. As for St. Monica Academy, they moved to 8-8 with that defeat, which also ended their three-match winning streak.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Desert Christian is set to face off against their familiar foe Palmdale Academy Charter School at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, St. Monica Academy will square off against rival Santa Clarita Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
