Rampart waltzed into their match on Wednesday with 16 straight wins... but they left with 17. They came out on top against the Pueblo West Cyclones by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 24-26, 25-21, 25-18.

Anaya Wright paced Rampart's offense, picking up 11 kills. Wright got some help from Marcella Chiriboga and her 34 assists. Finally, Gabrielle Weissgarber kept Rampart's defense grounded, leading the team with seven blocks.

Rampart's record is now 17-1. As for Pueblo West, their loss ended a nine-match streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 15-3.

Rampart and Pueblo West should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings. The Rams will face off against Doherty at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (9 vs. 114). Meanwhile, Pueblo West (ranked 11th) will meet Liberty (ranked 205th) at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
