Rampart came tearing into Wednesday's contest with 16 straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Pueblo West Cyclones by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 24-26, 25-21, 25-18.

Rampart's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gabriella Melecio, who had 27 digs. Melecio has been hot recently, having posted 14 or more digs the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ariana Clarose, who had 13 digs.

Rampart's win bumped their record up to 17-1. As for Pueblo West, the loss snapped their winning streak at five matches and leaves them with a 15-3 record.

Rampart and Pueblo West should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings. The Rams (ranked fifth) will meet Doherty (ranked 116th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Pueblo West will face off against Liberty at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (12 vs. 188).
