Soccer Game Preview: Wando vs. Stratford

The Wando Warriors will venture away from home to face off against the Stratford Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wando is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last seven games.

On Saturday, it was close, but Wando sidestepped West Ashley for a 2-1 win. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked first, while the Wildcats are ranked 39th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Pierce Robertson and Caedon Reynolds scored both of Wando's goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Stratford was forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor Fort Dorchester could gain the upper hand on Friday so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

Wando pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Stratford's draw makes their record 2-4-1 this season.
