Soccer Game Preview: Clovis vs. Clovis North

The Clovis Cougars will take on the Clovis North Broncos at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Clovis' last four matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Clovis is headed into Friday's following a draw, the team's first since December 17. Neither they nor Buchanan could gain the upper hand on Tuesday so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

Chip Damian and Devon Richardson scored both of Clovis' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 16 goals.

Meanwhile, Clovis North hasn't lost a match since December 3, 2024, a trend which continued in their latest game on Tuesday. They never let Clovis East onto the board and left with a 4-0 victory. The Broncos might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by three goals or more this season.

Clovis' draw gives them a new season record of 12-4-4. As for Clovis North, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-1-3 record this season.
