Sturgis West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 47-45 heartbreaker at the hands of the Nantucket Whalers. One positive for the Navigators, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Sturgis West now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Nantucket, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Sturgis West will challenge Falmouth Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Nantucket has already played their next contest (against Hull), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
