Softball Recap: Batavia Takes a Loss

Batavia lost against Wheaton North back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bulldogs came up short against the Falcons, falling 14-5. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Batavia's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Wheaton North, their win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Batavia will host Wheaton-Warrenville South at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 1.8 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Wheaton North, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Glenbard North at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Falcons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season.
