Wake Forest won the last time they faced Middle Creek and things went their way on Saturday too. The Cougars blew past the Mustangs 7-1. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.

Kellen Rogers was a standout: he scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-4. Hunter Hlavacek was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-1.

With the victory, Wake Forest broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 11-4. As for Middle Creek, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wake Forest will face off against Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Middle Creek, they will take on Apex at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Mustangs 3.3, the Cougars 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
