Basketball Recap: Memphis Takes a Loss

Memphis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 49-30 to the Wheeler Mustangs. The Cyclones were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mustangs earlier this season, when they won 44-43.

Memphis' defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Wheeler, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-12.

Memphis and Wheeler could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Memphis (ranked 1033rd) will meet Quanah (ranked 469th) at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Wheeler will challenge Clarendon at 6:30 p.m. on Friday down 903 places (974 vs. 71).
