Flag Football Recap: Chloe Williams' Big Game Can't Quite Lead San Clemente over Beckman

San Clemente lost against Beckman two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Tritons fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 28-26.

San Clemente's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chloe Williams, who threw for 393 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of her passes. Williams is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as she's now passed for three or more in each of the last four games she's played. Giselle Nacelli was another key receiver, picking up 132 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

San Clemente's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-8. As for Beckman, they pushed their record up to 17-6 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home.

Coming up, San Clemente will square off against Tesoro at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Titans' defense has only allowed 11.3 points per game this season, so the Tritons' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Beckman, they have already played their next matchup, a 34-32 victory against Aliso Niguel on the 13th.
