Creighton Prep not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since May 1, 2024. They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the North Platte Bulldogs. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Junior Jays.

Oliver Gubbels tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over 4.1 innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Cal Anthony, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Burchfiel, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.

Creighton Prep was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They are 2-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Creighton Prep's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for North Platte, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-8.

Creighton Prep will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bulldogs: the pair will be back at it again later today.
