Steele Canyon waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They snuck past the Helix Highlanders with a 58-54 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cougars also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Steele Canyon's victory bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Helix, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-16.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Steele Canyon will take on Monte Vista at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Monte Vista's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight contests. As for Helix, they will square off against Mount Miguel at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mount Miguel will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Helix surely won't give up without a fight.
