Basketball Recap: Mulvane Comes Up Short

Mulvane was the 49-46 winner over Buhler when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Mulvane Wildcats took a 62-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Buhler Crusaders. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Buhler can attribute much of their success to Isaiah Heredia, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 16 points along with five boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jared Miller, who went 6 for 8 on his way to 15 points and seven rebounds.

Mulvane's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Buhler, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-3.

After both having extra time off, Mulvane and Winfield will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Mulvane is facing Winfield at the right time seeing as Winfield is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Buhler, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Circle at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
