Alexandria is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Louisiana's top teams: Ruston, who was ranked fourth at the time (Alexandria was ranked sixth). The Trojans enjoyed a cozy 45-28 win over the Bearcats on Friday. The game was the first time the Trojans have beaten the Bearcats on their field since November 16, 2018.

Alexandria found their leader in sophomore Kason Williams, who rushed for 219 yards, and also picked up 31 receiving yards and one score. Those 219 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Williams. Another player making a difference was Karsen Sellers, who threw for 113 yards and four TDs while completing 72.7% of his passes.
Special teams was a major factor in the game for Alexandria, racking up 14 points in total. All came from Eli Fung: he went 3-for-3 kicking field goals for nine points, and 5-for-5 kicking extra points for an additional five.
Meanwhile, Ouachita Parish entered their contest against Neville on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Lions and the Tigers were almost perfectly matched up, but the Lions suffered a 38-37 defeat. The Lions gained 234 more yards on the day, but it was the Tigers that made the best use of them.
Alexandria will need to focus on slowing down Montrell Conner, one of several Ouachita Parish players who made an impact when they last played. Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Alexandria has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 206.1 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Ouachita Parish struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 205.8 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for Alexandria against Ouachita Parish when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 55-12 win. In that game, the Trojans amassed a halftime lead of 42-12, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
