Baseball Recap: Franklin County Comes Up Short

Franklin County made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Sayre, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Flyers fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 2-0 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Flyers have suffered since May 5th.

Franklin County's defeat dropped their record down to 14-22-1. As for Sayre, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-6-1 record this season.

Franklin County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sayre, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 6-5 victory against Madison Central on the 27th.
