Softball Recap: Federal Way Comes Up Short

Federal Way lost against Enumclaw back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Eagles might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 16-6 to the Hornets, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meeghan Meagher was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Sosephina Sailiai, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Federal Way's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Enumclaw, they pushed their record up to 13-2 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Federal Way will square off against White River at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Enumclaw, they will welcome Decatur at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Hornets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Golden Gators have averaged an impressive 11.9 runs per game this season.
