Baseball Recap: Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger Find Success

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They walked away with a 12-7 victory over the Angola Hornets. The Saints have beaten the Hornets the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Hornets has come to flipping the script.

Braxton Bermes was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Eddie Miller, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger's record is now 22-8. As for Angola, their loss dropped their record down to 11-15.
