Volleyball Recap: Norwich Free Academy's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

Norwich Free Academy had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They put the hurt on the New London Whalers with a sharp 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2022.

Norwich Free Academy never let New London on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-8, 25-23.

Norwich Free Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Sophie Miner out in front who had 16 digs and three aces. Miner has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more digs the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Petra Berry, who had eight kills, five digs, and two aces.

They weren't the only good server: Norwich Free Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 19 aces. They are a perfect 4-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Norwich Free Academy now has a winning record of 5-4. As for New London, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Norwich Free Academy will host Fitch at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for New London, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Plainfield at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
