Kane was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 41-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Marys Flying Dutch. One positive for the Wolves, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.
Several Wolves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Chris Yates, who posted seven points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Phinn Chamberlain, who earned six points.
Kane's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for St. Marys, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kane will head out to take on Johnsonburg at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Marys, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on DuBois Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on December 23rd.
