Volleyball Recap: Gatewood Takes a Loss

Gatewood lost against Augusta Prep back in August, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Gators came up short against the Cavaliers, falling 3-0. The Gators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Gatewood was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-7, 25-17.

Gatewood's record now sits at 2-6. As for Augusta Prep, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-8 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Gatewood is set to take on their familiar foe Monsignor Donovan Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on the 17th. Meanwhile, Augusta Prep will face off against rival Westminster Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
