Volleyball Game Preview: Mountain Crest Mustangs vs. Mountain View Bruins

The Mountain Crest Mustangs will take on the Mountain View Bruins at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Mountain Crest is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Highland.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-13, 23-25, 25-17.

Mountain Crest can attribute much of their success to Ella Malm, who had 11 assists and ten digs. That's the most digs Malm has posted since back in September.

Mountain Crest was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 14 consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Mountain View, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They came out on top against Uintah by a score of 3-1 last Tuesday. The Bruins haven't had any issues with the Utes recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Mountain View was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-27, 25-17, 25-21.

Mountain Crest's record now sits at 17-12. As for Mountain View, their record is now 20-7.
