Softball Recap: Tech Comes Up Short

Tech came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against St. Vincent Academy, falling 18-3. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 13-8 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for St. Vincent Academy, their win bumped their record up to 8-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tech will challenge West Side at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for St. Vincent Academy, they will take on North Star Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. North Star Academy has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.75 runs per game on average), something St. Vincent Academy will no doubt try to take advantage of.
