Baseball Recap: East Providence Townies vs. La Salle Academy Rams
East Providence faced La Salle Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Townies sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the Rams. For the Townies, this counts as revenge for the 5-1 victory the Rams walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2022.

East Providence got a great performance from Dylan Annicelli as he struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Annicelli is becoming a predictor of the Townies' success: when he allows at most two earned runs the team is undefeated (and 4-6 when he doesn't).
