Basketball Recap: Lehigh Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Lehigh Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 66-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of West Chester Christian. The Mustangs lost against West Chester Christian in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 79-30 score last time.

Despite the loss, Lehigh Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Jacob Lewis, who dropped a double-double on 33 points and 17 rebounds. That was a full 61.1% of Lehigh Christian Academy's points, marking the 13th time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. Mark Hauser was another key player, putting up nine points and five boards.

Lehigh Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for West Chester Christian, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lehigh Christian Academy will head out to square off against Lincoln Leadership Academy at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Lehigh Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.2 points per game this season. As for West Chester Christian, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Quakertown Christian at 6:15 p.m. on January 31st.
