Volleyball Recap: Elk Grove Takes a Loss

Elk Grove saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Glenbard North Panthers.

Elk Grove was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-13.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Glenbard North to victory, but perhaps none more so than Abby Graf, who had 25 assists. Graf has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more assists the last 18 times she's played.

Elk Grove's loss dropped their record down to 14-13. As for Glenbard North, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-12 record this season.

Elk Grove didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Schaumburg on the 14th. As for Glenbard North, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against St. Charles North on the 14th.
