Basketball Game Preview: James Clemens Jets vs. Austin Black Bears

James Clemens and Austin are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but not for long. The James Clemens Jets will venture away from home to take on the Austin Black Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, James Clemens came up short against Florence and fell 57-47.

Meanwhile, Austin also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Bob Jones by a score of 54-43. The Black Bears have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Austin's loss dropped their record down to 6-16. As for James Clemens, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season.

James Clemens was able to grind out a solid victory over Austin when the teams last played back in December of 2024, winning 53-42. The rematch might be a little tougher for James Clemens since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
