Recap: The City School Lions vs. Life Center Academy Warriors
If The City School Lions were riding high off their 68-46 takedown of New Foundations last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The City School was the victim of a tough 54-34 loss at the hands of Life Center Academy on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points The City School has scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Life Center Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Elijah Brown, who scored 18 points along with four steals. Brown hasn't dropped below 15points for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Al-Tariq Reevey, who scored 11 points along with seven blocks and five rebounds.
The City School's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Life Center Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.
The City School will be playing in front of their home fans against Girard College at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Life Center Academy, they will square off against Our Saviour Lutheran at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Our Saviour Lutheran's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
