Basketball Recap: Nordheim Has No Trouble Against Prairie Lea

Nordheim lost to Prairie Lea back in January of 2021, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. Everything went the Nordheim Pirates' way against the Prairie Lea Indians as the Nordheim Pirates made off with a 39-15 victory. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Pirates just coasted through the last quarter.

Nordheim is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-10 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.8 points per game. As for Prairie Lea, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-18.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nordheim will challenge Waelder at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Nordheim is facing Waelder at the right time seeing as Waelder is stuck on a 13-game losing streak. As for Prairie Lea, they will take on Austwell-Tivoli at 12:00 p.m. on Monday.
