Softball Recap: Fleming County Comes Up Short

Fleming County's last matchup with Bracken County could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Monday. The Panthers lost 7-1 to the Polar Bears. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Polar Bears: they've now lost five in a row.

Fleming County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Black, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Fleming County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Bracken County, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Fleming County will square off against Elliott County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bracken County, they will challenge Mason County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Polar Bears are facing the Royals at the right time seeing as the Royals are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
