You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for Bruce on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew the Vardaman Rams out of the water with a 68-35 final score. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Trojans had established a 27-point advantage.

Leading Bruce to victory were Ayden Welch and Jermaine Jackson. Welch shot 44% from the field on his way to 20 points along with seven boards and three steals, while Jackson went 6-for-13 en route to 13 points and seven steals. That's the most points Jackson has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of JaColbi Clark, who shot 42% from the field to rack up 11 points.

Bruce's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Vardaman, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bruce will square off against Hamilton at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Vardaman, they will host Eupora at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
