Softball Recap: Fairmont Senior Polar Bears vs. Preston Knights
Fairmont Senior lost to Preston back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Polar Bears had just enough and edged out the Knights 13-12. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Polar Bears have posted against the Knights since April 11, 2018.
Sadie Rundle and Shyanne Rowe did most of the damage at the plate: Rundle scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-4, while Rowe scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-5. Rundle also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Camdyn Staron was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.
