Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Southaven). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Horn Lake Eagles a 10-0 shutout on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Chargers as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Southaven's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 2-11. As for Horn Lake, they are on a 22-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Southaven has already played their next contest (against Oxford), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Horn Lake, they will be playing at home against Strayhorn at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
