Miramar extends road losing streak to three

Recap: Miramar Patriots vs. Hallandale Chargers

After flying high against the Coconut Creek Cougars on Monday, the Miramar Patriots came back down to earth. Miramar took a 79-70 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hallandale on Wednesday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Monday (61), Miramar still had to take the loss.

Miramar's loss came despite strong showings from Nehemiah Jean-Charles and Joshua Skinner . Jean-Charles scored 20 points along with 3 steals and 3 blocks, while Skinner scored 20 points along with 8 rebounds. Jean-Charles is absolutely dominating the block category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Maurice Tenner, who scored 8 points.

The last time Miramar won on the road was back last Thursday. Having now lost three straight away matchups, they've bumped their record down to 1-4. As for Hallandale, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Miramar will take on McArthur at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. McArthur comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Hallandale, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Stoneman Douglas at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Stoneman Douglas presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Hallandale in Florida (Stoneman Douglas is ranked 241st, while Hallandale is ranked 534th).
