Football Recap: Wayne County Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Wayne County lost against Summertown back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wildcats wound up with the same score they had in their last game (16-14), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

Max Dillard looked great while leading his team to the win, rushing for 101 yards and one TD on only 14 carries. Those 101 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Wayne County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Summertown, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Wayne County will head out to challenge McNairy Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Summertown, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Cascade at 7:00 p.m.
