After losing to Mendota the last time they met, Liberty decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Hawks were the clear victors by a 38-13 margin over the Aztecs on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hawks.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Liberty's defense and their five sacks. In that department, Jack Canar was the leader with two.

Despite the loss, Mendota still got an impressive performance from Anthony Trinidad, who rushed for 75 yards and one TD on only eight carries.

Liberty's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Mendota, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
