Soccer Recap: Indian River Takes a Loss

Indian River lost against Nansemond River back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Braves lost 7-0 to the Warriors. While losing is never fun, Indian River can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 214th, while Nansemond River are ranked 38th).

This is the second loss in a row for Indian River and nudges their season record down to 3-6. As for Nansemond River, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Indian River is set to take on their familiar foe Great Bridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Nansemond River will square off against rival Deep Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
