Basketball Recap: Ridge View Takes Down Wando in a Playoff Battle

Ridge View had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Wando Warriors by a score of 55-45 on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Blazers sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Ridge View's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Anasia Harvey, who went 5-for-10 en route to 13 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Janiya Carter, who posted eight points along with five boards and five steals.

Despite the loss, Wando still got an impressive performance from Isabel Waite, who went 6-for-12 to rack up 13 points and four steals. Waite has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 20 times she's played.

Ridge View's victory bumped their record up to 20-8. As for Wando, their loss dropped their record down to 21-5.

Looking ahead, Ridge View will take on Ashley Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Ashley Ridge will roll in looking for their 26th straight win, something Ridge View surely won't give up without a fight. Wando does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
