Basketball Recap: Riverdale Comes Up Short

Riverdale came up into this matchup off a tough 26-point loss last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Oakland Patriots by a score of 61-58 on Tuesday. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Patriots earlier this season, when they won 86-83.

Riverdale has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-21 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points over those games. As for Oakland, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-8 and their overall record up to 8-17.

As of now, neither Riverdale nor Oakland have any future games scheduled.
