Baseball Recap: Independence Comes Up Short

Independence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lebanon Trail Trail Blazers. If the Knights were looking for revenge after losing 7-1 to the Trail Blazers when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Independence's defeat dropped their record down to 3-19-1. As for Lebanon Trail, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-17-1.

While Independence had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
