Baseball Recap: Skyline Takes a Loss

Skyline blew Marionville out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Monday Marionville got their revenge. The Tigers fell just short of the Comets by a score of 5-3. The Tigers' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Dakota Carlisle was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. That stolen base marked the first that he has snagged this season.

Skyline's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Marionville, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-10.

Coming up, Skyline will host Versailles at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Marionville, they are taking a road trip to take on Stockton at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
