Baseball Preview: Buena Chiefs vs. Cumberland Colts        
        
		
            The Buena Chiefs will head out to  face off against the Cumberland Colts  at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Buena is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2  runs per game  this season.
Buena came into their game  on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against  Highland Regional, falling  9-3.
  Johnny Morales made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of  Richie Wilson, who  went 2-for-4 with one  stolen base and one  run.
Meanwhile,  it looked like the Kentucky Derby when Cumberland faced off against Triton on Tuesday. The Colts skirted past the Mustangs  4-3.
 Mark Sooy spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned  (and two unearned) runs on eight hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  Kevin Fiorani was  excellent,  going 2-for-3 with two  doubles and two  RBI. Those  two  doubles gave  him a new career-high.  Tyler Kundera was another key player,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with two  RBI.
 Buena's defeat  ended  a  three-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 14-11. As for Cumberland, their victory bumped their record up to 5-19.
 Buena's speedy runners might be the difference in Wednesday's   contest. The Chiefs have been swiping bases left and right this season,  having  averaged 5.1  stolen bases per game.
