Recap: Farmersville Aztecs vs. Arvin Bears
The Farmersville Aztecs lost against the Arvin Bears back in December of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Farmersville suffered a rough 65-45 loss at the hands of Arvin. Farmersville has not had much luck with Arvin recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Aiden Perez and Gilbert Cepeda certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Perez scored 23 points, while Cepeda scored 14 points.
Farmersville's defeat was their sixth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-11. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.0 points per game. As for Arvin, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Farmersville and Corcoran will face off at 6:30 p.m. on January 3, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Corcoran will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. Arvin and Kings Christian will face off at 8:00 p.m. on December 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Kings Christian is coming into the match hot, having won their last 13 games.
