Softball Recap: Concord Comes Up Short

Concord was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Shirley Blue Devils, falling 29-13. Even if the Pirates couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Concord's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Shirley, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Looking ahead, Concord will take on West Side at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Shirley has already played their next game (against Norfork), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
