Football Recap: Mayde Creek Falls Despite Big Games from Christian Bradford and Jamaal Jones Jr + How To Watch

After flying high against Katy Taylor last Thursday, Mayde Creek came back down to earth. The Rams took a hard 36-22 fall against the Jordan Warriors on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 448th, while the Warriors are ranked 164th).

Jamaal Jones Jr and Christian Bradford certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Jones Jr gained 104 total yards and two touchdowns, while Bradford gained 83 total yards and a touchdown. Jones Jr is also on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Tanner West had a dynamite game For Jordan., rushing for 147 yards and four scores while picking up 8.6 yards per carry. Those four rushing touchdowns gave West a new career-high.

Mayde Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Jordan, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Mayde Creek will challenge rival Paetow at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Jordan is set to take on their familiar foe Morton Ranch at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
