With a playoff win on the line, ROWVA/Williamsfield rose to the challenge on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Wethersfield Flying Geese 2-1. The victory was familiar territory for the Cougars, who have now won 13 matches in a row.

ROWVA/Williamsfield found their leader in sophomore Eliza Tucker, who had 19 digs and one assist. Those 19 digs set a new season-high mark for Tucker. Another player making a difference was Ella Rigg, who had ten digs.

ROWVA/Williamsfield's win bumped their record up to 32-6. As for Wethersfield, they moved to 30-7 with that loss, which also ended their three-match winning streak.

Coming up, ROWVA/Williamsfield will square off against Tremont at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Wethersfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
