Football Game Preview: Westwood Warriors vs. Salpointe Catholic Lancers + How To Watch

The Westwood Warriors will head out to face off against the Salpointe Catholic Lancers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Westwood is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Perry on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Warriors took a blow against the Pumas, falling 48-7. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Pumas recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Despite the loss, Westwood got top-tier performance from Keshawn Barkus, who rushed for 180 yards and one score while picking up 8.2 yards per carry. Barkus showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 54 yards.

Meanwhile, Salpointe Catholic faced Basha in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Lancers were outmatched by the Bears and fell 58-7.

Salpointe Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Westwood, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
