St. Thomas More had won 19 straight games dating back to last season and Clare Thomson did her part to make it 20 on Tuesday. The Cougars came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the St. Joseph's Academy Redstickers thanks in part to Thomson, who had 25 assists and nine digs. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 12.4 assists per game.

St. Thomas More was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-19, 22-25, 25-16, 15-10.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Thomas More to victory, but perhaps none more so than Madeleine Blanchard, who had 11 digs and one assist. Those 11 digs gave Blanchard a new career-high.

St. Thomas More was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

St. Thomas More's win bumped their record up to 15-0. As for St. Joseph's Academy, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-5.
